Key Personnel

Stephen Munday CBE

Chief Executive Officer

As Principal of Comberton Village College, Stephen oversaw the inception of the Comberton Academy Trust which later became The Cam Academy Trust.  Educated in Canterbury, he studied Economics at the University of Cambridge and went on to qualify as a teacher attending the Institute of Education London, where he gained an MA in Economics Education. 

In 2009 he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by Anglia Ruskin University and in 2013 was awarded a CBE both in recognition of his services to education and the community.

 

Chris Jukes

Primary Executive Leader

A former headteacher, Local Leader of Education and NPQH Course Coach, Chris is responsible for the Primary schools within the Trust, ensuring that they are provided with the support to develop and maintain high standards.

Paul Lawrence

Director of Education

A Specialist Leader of Education with a Master's degree in Educational Management and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Paul is also an Ofsted lead inspector who has more than 25 years’ experience of teaching. Paul now works to ensure the highest standard of education across all the Trust’s academies.

Rachel Hawkes

Director of International Education & Research

A linguist who oversees excellent language provision in all the Trust’s Academies as well as leading international developments in all the Academies, including the British Council International School Award.

Mark Norman

Director of Finance and Operations 

Mark is a qualified accountant who oversees finances for all the academies in the Trust, looking at ways to maximise efficiency, minimise waste and use the power of a Trust to utilise economies of scale. He is also responsible for integrating new schools when they join, as well as managing the Trust’s operations team, which includes HR, IT, facilities, procurement and publicity.

Simon Holmes

Trust Senior Officer

An experienced former Headteacher and SSAT Leadership Legacy Experienced Leader mentor, Simon oversaw Melbourn Village College’s entry into the Trust in 2013. He is now responsible for leading on a number of cross-Trust initiatives, working to support both Headteachers and Trustees.

Emma Neagle

SEND Director

Emma started her career as an English teacher, working in schools in London and Essex. An experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator and pastoral leader, Emma joined Cambourne Village College as an Assistant Principal with a focus on inclusion in 2016. Emma is now responsible for providing support and guidance for the Trust’s SENCos and Headteachers to ensure the highest standard of provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

Jan Berridge

Facilities Manager

With over 18 years retail management experience and a further 15 years within the education sector, Jan joined the Trust in 2015. With Trust oversight of new build projects, estate management, catering and cleaning, Jan is responsible for ensuring that all the physical resources available to The Cam Academy Trust and its Academies are developed, maintained and used in the most cost effective and efficient way to enable all  Academies to meet their educational aims and objectives.

Tania Tull

Human Resources Manager

A qualified HR practitioner, with more than 10 years' experience in education, Tania supports The Cam Academy Trust by strengthening HR processes and practice across all of its Academies.

Paul Middleton

IT Manager 

Paul’s role is to standardise working models, improve communication methods, improve reliability and implement new technologies across the Trust’s Academies.

Rachael Panther

Education Welfare Lead

Rachael has worked as an Attendance officer at St Peter's School for the past four years and has an additional 10 years’ experience with supporting challenging families as a Youth and Community worker.

She will now work closely with schools across the Trust to provide the highest level of support for all our students. Her focus will be to ensure continuity, support schools with difficult cases and review the procedures in place.

Jonathan Bowers

Digital Learning Developer

Fusing his technical expertise and his ongoing ambition to impact education, Jonathan is spearheading the development of CATalogue - utilising the best of Office 365 to create learning spaces where resources are stored logically, always available and accessible across the Trust.

Judy Czylok

Publicity & Communications Manager

A qualified journalist who works with the Academies to enhance their own and the Trust’s internal and external communications.

Carolyn Ducket

Data Protection Officer

With the introduction of the new Data Protection Regulations in 2018, Carolyn was appointed, to ensure that the Trust and its employees comply with the GDPR and other data protection laws.

Carolyn is also the Business Manager at St. Peter's School.

Yvonne Corkin

PA/Clerk to the Board

Yvonne is Personal Assistant to the CEO and Clerk to the Board of Trustees.
