We’re pleased to announce we’ve chosen Sibling Support as our charity of the year.
Every year around 4,000 young people die in the UK before they’ve had a chance to live their lives to the fullest. Beside many of those is a sibling.
Sibling Support believes that siblings are overlooked when it comes to grief. Their mission is to ensure every bereaved sibling feels seen, heard and supported. Their vision is a world where every bereaved sibling finds strength and joy through compassionate support and community.
Childrens Grief Awareness Week runs from Monday 16 to Sunday 22 November, and is a chance for us to come together to show support for bereaved children and young people across the UK.
This year, the theme is #KeepingConnected, helping bereaved children and young people feel connected to their friends, family, grief traditions and memories.
The week aims to champion and celebrate the networks of support around bereaved young people, and the threads of hope that keep them connected.
