Hinchingbrooke School achieves top rating across all areas in latest Ofsted inspection

Hinchingbrooke School is celebrating a significant milestone after achieving Strong Standard in every area in its recent Ofsted inspection, under the inspectorate’s new, more demanding framework. 

The outcome places the school among the strongest performers nationally, with inspectors recognising both the quality of education and the culture of the school community. 

In their report, Ofsted inspectors described Hinchingbrooke as “a warm and welcoming place to be”, where pupils “feel part of a community”. The report also highlights inclusion as “a notable strength of the school” and recognises that pupils have “a deep understanding of respect”. 

The new Ofsted framework assesses schools across seven separate areas, replacing the previous overall grading system. Achieving Strong Standard across all areas is considered a particularly strong outcome, reflecting consistently high performance.

“We are incredibly proud of this outcome, which is the best the school has ever achieved. It reflects the dedication and commitment of our staff and the fantastic young people in our school. 

This report captures what we value most – a school that is ambitious, inclusive, and where every student feels they belong. Although we are pleased, there is still a lot to do. We are excited to continue our journey towards being the very best school we can be.”

Hinchingbrooke School, part of The CAM Academy Trust, has continued to build on its previous successes, with this latest inspection marking the strongest outcome in the school’s history. 

The Trust has emphasised that, while this achievement is a moment for celebration, the focus will remain on sustaining and building on these standards for the future.
